MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019148 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated coconut de-husking device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated coconut de-husking device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, a V-shaped cavity 2 installed on the platform 1 configured with a suction unit 3 for affixing a coconut, an imaging unit 4 installed on the platform 1 for determining build structure of the coconut, three curve shaped blades 5 suspended on a rod installed on the platform 1 for removing husk portion of the coconut, a motorized grinding unit 6 installed on the platform 1 to smoothen outer periphery of the de-husked coconut and a speaker 7 mounted on the platform 1 for notifying a user."
