MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018193 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'automated clamp installation device for workpiece.'

Inventor(s) include Ashendra Kumar Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated clamp installation device for workpiece, comprising a platform 1 attached with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for determining presence of workpieces an accordingly wheels 3 positions platform 1 towards workpieces, an L-shaped telescopic bar 5 attached with the platform 1 which extends to position a C-shaped member 6 attached with bar 5 around the workpieces, two motorized scissor arrangement 9 extends two jaws 8 to grip workpieces together, a multi-sectioned rack 10 attached with member 6 for storing multiple clamping pins, and a robotic gripper 11 attached with member 6 for gripping and engaging one of pins over gripped workpieces followed by actuation of a pair of telescopic press 7 attached with member 6 for extending to bend the pins around the workpieces in order to clamp the workpieces."
