MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025424 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated chimney cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated chimney cleaning device, comprises of a frame 1 positioned over a mouth portion of a chimney, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 2 integrated with a processor for capturing and processing images of the mouth portion, plurality of motorized hinge joints 3 to regulate shape of the frame 1, plurality of suction cups 4 to affix the frame 1 with the mouth portion, a touch interactive display panel 5 to enable a user to provide input, an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 6 to extend and insert within the chimney, an motorized disc 7 to detach accumulated smoke stack within the chimney by means of plurality of metallic chains 8 configured with periphery of the disc 7 and each equipped with a metallic block 9, an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 13 to extend and position a motorized brush 14 to scrub the inner periphery to clean the chimney."
