MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073975 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated charcoal pallet packing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shweta Sharma; Dr. Chetna Kumari; and Himani Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated charcoal pallet packing device, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a fixed surface and crafted with an opening 2 that is accessed by a user to insert charcoal pallets within the housing 1, hopper 3 to receive the charcoal pallets, touch interactive display panel 4 to enable a user to provide input regrading packing of the charcoal pallets along with amount of the charcoal pallets to be packed, chamber 6 stored with poly bags, artificial intelligence based imaging unit 9 for capturing images of the conveyor to determine positioning of the mouth portion of the poly bag beneath the air blowing unit 8 to blow air in view of opening the poly bag, motorized iris lid 10 to dispense a regulated amount of the charcoal pallets within the poly bag and a robotic clamp 11 to grip neck portion of the poly bag for closing the poly bag."
