MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024720 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated chamfer hole construction device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dilip Kumar; and Rajesh Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated chamfer hole construction device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 2 for generating a 3-dimensional map of surrounding of body 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 for displaying the captured images that is accessed by a user for selecting a point where a chamfer hole is to be constructed, plurality of motorized wheels 4 to move body 1 in proximity to fixed surface, an extendable sliding unit 5 installed on the body 1 to extend to get aligned with respect to the fixed surface, a motorized cutter 6 is mounted on the sliding unit 5 that is translated along sliding unit 5 for getting positioned in proximity to user-selected point to engrave a chamfer hole at fixed surface and a laser measurement sensor integrated on body 1 for monitoring dimensions of hole engraved on surface."
