MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023434 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated cereal cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cereal cleaning device, comprises of a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface, a touch screen 3 for enabling a user to give input commands regarding an amount of one of the type of cereal required by the user, an imaging unit 4 mounted for capturing multiple images of the chambers 2, a motorized hinge for tilting chamber in manner to dispense the cereal on frame 7 configured with a sieve 8, a weight sensor positioned on sieve 8 for detecting amount of the cereal dispensed over sieve 8, a slider 9 crank arrangement for providing a to-and-fro motion to frame 7, a motorized pivot joint for tilting frame 7 in view of transferring cereal in a vessel 10, an RTC module for keeping an accurate track on real-time, a heating unit to heat cereal and a speaker 15 for notifying user to collect cereal from vessel 10."
