MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020671 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated cavity engraving device for concrete surfaces.'

Inventor(s) include Nidhi Tyagi; Varun Bansal; Avinav Pathak; and Kuldeep Chauhan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cavity engraving device for concrete surfaces, comprising a frame 1 installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by user to input details regarding shape and location of a cavity on a concrete surface which is to be engraved, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on frame 1 for capturing and determining position of concrete surface with respect to frame 1, an ultrasonic sensor installed on frame 1 for determining dimension of surface, a platform 6 attached with frame 1 via a motorized scissor arrangement 7 that extend/retract to position platform 6 in proximity to location, a motorized drilling unit 8 installed on platform 6 via a L-shaped bar 9 for performing drilling on projected image to carve out concrete material from location, a wedge 10 attached on platform 6 via a L-shaped link 11 that extend/retract to position wedge 10 in proximity to formed cavity."
