MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441078329 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'automated carrot cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated carrot cleaning device comprises of, a cuboidal body 1 configured with a hopper 2 and developed to be positioned at a height from a ground surface, wherein the hopper 2 is accessed by a user for accommodating different types of carrots, a first chamber 3 is arranged underneath the hopper 2 for receiving the accommodated carrots, a tube integrated with an electronically controlled valve configured with the first chamber 3 to dispense water into the chamber for initiating cleaning of the carrots, a cylindrical hollow container 4 arranged underneath the first chamber 3, multiple pneumatic bristles 5 fabricated around entire inner section of the container 4, a motorized lid configured with the container 4 to initiate passage of the cleaned carrots into a second chamber configured on bottom portion of the body 1."
