MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012481 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated card shuffling device.'
Inventor(s) include Kantharaj I.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated card shuffling device, comprising a body 1 developed to positioned on a table, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 2 capturing images of surroundings of an enclosure, a microcontroller linked with imaging unit for determining number of users present in the enclosure, possible card games that can be played, a touch interactive display unit 3 for displaying those games, a bi-directional conveyor belt 4 hinged with the body 1 initially remains in a stowed state, for drawing a deck of cards placed on the conveyor within the body 1, a pair of robotic arms 5 shuffling the cards as per user selected game and then directs the arms 5 to again place the shuffled cards over the belt 4 followed by rotation of the belt 4 in opposite direction to translate the cards outside the body 1."
