MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022833 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated car air filter cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated car air filter cleaning device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, body 1 is crafted with an opening 2 that is accessed by a user for inserting a car air filter inside the body 1, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing images of inside of the body 1 to determine positioning of the air filter, robotic arms 4 for acquiring grip on the air filter, slot 5 for positioning the filter, motorized clamping units 6 to grip on the air filter, telescopically operated rod 7 for positioning a disc 8 over the filter, air blower 9 to blow pressurized air towards the filter, suction units 10 to store the extracted dirt/dust, motorized gripper 11 for positioning a rotatable brush on outer periphery of the filter, electronically controlled nozzle 14 to dispense water stored in container 13 on filter."
