MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011198 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'automated cannula covering device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Byomakesh Dash.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cannula covering device comprises of a curved rectangular frame 101 integrated with multiple suction cups 102 to affix the frame 101 with a user's body portion where a cannula is attached, a microphone 103 takes user input regarding covering of the cannula, an imaging unit 104 determines location of the cannula over the body portion, a holographic projection unit 105 project light over the body portion to guide the user for positioning of the frame 101, a pair of motorized sliding units 106 installed over lateral sides of the frame 101 configured with multiple plates 107 to deploy over the body portion to cover the cannula, a pair of inflatable member 109 each configured beneath the lateral sides provide suitable fitting to the frame 101, a temperature sensor monitors temperature in the surroundings, and multiple Peltier units installed over the frame 101 regulates temperature of the frame 101."
