MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007467 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'automated candle lightening assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated candle lightening assistive device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by user for entering command duration for which a candle is to be lit, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on platform 1 for capturing and determining dimension of a candle present in proximity to platform 1, a cylindrical member 4 attached on platform 1 via a pair of curved rods 5 for accommodating candle, an anemometer installed on platform 1 for monitoring velocity of wind blowing in surrounding of the platform 1, and an electrochromic material configured on the flaps 6 to display a user-desired color over the flaps 6 which in turn radiate light of the flame in the color due to reflection of the flap 6."
