MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076674 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'automated candle flame control device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated candle flame control device, comprising a hollow cylindrical frame 1 positioned in proximity to a candle, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting presence of the candle, a motorized circular flap 2 for enabling a user to accommodate the frame 1 on the candle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determine dimensions of the candle, an inflatable member 4 for securing the frame 1 on the candle, a pressure sensor monitor pressure applied by the member 4 on the candle, a microphone 5 for enabling the user to provide input voice commands regarding a user-desired operation to be performed, an automatic igniter 6 to ignite wick of the candle for burning the candle and a pair of curved plates 7 by means of a motorized hinge joint 8 that is actuated for closing the plates 7 over the burning wick, in view of extinguishing the flame."
