MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026008 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated bulb planter digging device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bulb planter digging device comprises a platform 1 configured with plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 for moving said platform 1 on said surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on said platform 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings of said platform, a touch interactive display panel 4 displaying said captured images, a cylindrical body 5 installed with said platform 1 via a pair of V-shaped members, a pair of primary motorized pivot joints 7 configured between said frame and member to work in synchronization with a pair of secondary motorized pivot joints, a cam and follower arrangement 9 configured with said body 5 and platform 1 to impart linear movements to follower, an angle sensor assembled on said platform 1 for monitoring angle of said body 5 with respect to said surface."
