MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006629 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'automated bricks shaping device.'

Inventor(s) include Pardeep Singh Tiwana; Gaurav Goel; Rajeev Sharma; Dr. Sachin Mohal; Rohit Singh; and Piyush Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bricks shaping device comprises of a cuboidal body install with a storage chamber 2 to be manually placed with bricks, a touch enabled to select a shape in which the bricks are to be shaped, a telescopically operated gripper 4 for gripping the bricks and placing the bricks in a successive manner on a circular platform 7, a camera 5 for detecting dimensions of the brick, a pair of C-shaped motorized clamps 6 for gripping the bricks in the successive manner via a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 8, a pair of secondary motorized ball and socket joints 14 for rotating the clamps 6 for flipping the bricks to allow the shaping of the bricks from either side, and a pair of motorized for cutting the bricks in the successive manner."
