MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022636 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'automated boiler cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated boiler cleaning device, comprising a platform 1 positioned at a mouth portion of a boiler and configured with plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2, a computing unit to give input commands for removing sludge from boiler, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines dimensions of boiler, plurality of electronic nozzles 4 installed on a chamber 5 for dispensing a sludge removal solution on inner walls of boiler, plurality of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 6 extends and positions a wedge-shaped plates 7 in contact with soaked sludge, followed by actuation of wheels 2 for maneuvering platform 1 from base portion to mouth portion of boiler to remove sludge from inner walls, multiple electronic valves 8 connected with a water container 9 for dispensing water on inner walls to rinse inner walls, and a suction unit 10 extracts sludge and waste water in a vessel 11."
