MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088270 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'automated blood disorder diagnosis device.'
Inventor(s) include Anuj Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated blood disorder diagnosis device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, base of body 1 is arranged with a plate 2 that is accessed for smearing a drop of blood sample to be tested, a photoelectric sensor emitting a red light over sample and emitted light is reflected back with a particular intensity which is received by the sensor, a processing unit processing the received particular intensity of reflected light from the sample by implementing a set of LUA protocols pre-fed in processing unit to determine hemoglobin level, and a display screen 3 is actuated by processing unit for displaying determined hemoglobin level that is utilized for diagnosing different blood related disorders."
