MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132309 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 26, 2025, for 'automated bio-char production and application system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanju Kumawat; Raja Babu; Dr. Soniya Dhanda; Bharat; Sayra Saini; and Nitu Rani.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bio-char production and application system, comprising of a framework 101 configured with a collection chamber 102 to receive and store agricultural raw waste materials, an imaging unit 103 for identifying the type of waste, a conveyer belt assembly 104 transports the waste across the framework 101, a cutting chamber 105 regulates material feed and cutting length, a drying chamber 108 removes moisture from the material, a pyrolysis chamber 110 for creating and restoring oxygen-free atmosphere and providing heat, an RGB camera 114 monitors color and texture of the material and automatically adjust heating duration or intensity, a grinding unit 115 processes the carbonized material, a mixing chamber 118 for uniform blending of additives and bio-char, a bio-char storage chamber 123 maintain airtight and moisture-free environment, and an application assembly either directly dispense the bio-char or uniformly on the surface of the targeted area of the field."
