MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010395 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated beverage dispensing device.'
Inventor(s) include Prof. Abhishek Sharma; Dr. Gagndeep Kaur; Garvit; Amisha Garg; and Aditya Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated beverage dispensing device, comprising a L-shaped extendable body 1 configured with an extendable ring 2 positioned over apex portion of body 1 for accommodating portion of a bottle stored with a beverage, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 determines dimensions of neck portion for actuating motorized drawer arrangement for providing expansion and retraction of ring 2 for griping neck portion, a laser measurement sensor monitor dimension of bottle for actuating a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 4 for positioning clamps 5 to accommodate and grip bottle in an appropriate manner, an ultrasonic sensor monitor dimensions of container for positioning container at an appropriate height to receive beverage, a microphone 6 receive voice command of user regarding requirement of beverage for actuating robotic gripper 7 to grip handle for allowing dispensing of beverage from tap."
