MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003702 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated beverage cooling device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated beverage cooling device, comprising a cylindrical hollow body 1 accommodated with hollow conical member 2 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface over which a beverage container is placed, wherein member 2 is segregated into plurality of sections each filled with ethylene glycol, a touch enabled screen 3 mounted on body 1 for enabling a user to give input commands regarding a temperature up-till which a beverage filled within beverage container is to be cooled, a camera 4 mounted on body 1 for capturing multiple images of beverage container, multiple Peltier units configured within body 1 for cooling ethylene glycol filled, a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of ethylene glycol, a laser sensor positioned on a circular disc 6 for detecting diameter of beverage container, an expandable pulley arrangement 7 for increasing diameter of disc 6 thereby gripping disc 6 with container."
