MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007266 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated bearing replacement device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bearing replacement device comprises of a platform 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to platform 1 on a fixed surface, a plate 3 for providing support to a workpiece pre-installed with a bearing that a user desires to replace, a pair of motorized clamp 4 for securing workpiece on plate 3, an imaging unit 5 for capturing images of workpiece, a J-shaped telescopic pusher 6 attached with a first link rod 7 for disengaging bearing, a chamber 8 for storing a new ball bearing, a first robotic gripper 9 for withdrawing and engaging one of bearing inside cavity, a telescopic bar 10 configured with a second link rod 11 for extending to engage new bearing inside workpiece, a container 12 for storing a lubrication oil and an electronic nozzle 13 connected with container 12 for dispensing oil on bearing to properly install fresh bearing."
