MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025977 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated baseball cap cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated baseball cap cleaning device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface by means of plurality of suction cups 2, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 determines dimensions of visor and crown portion of cap, an extendable semi-spherical member 4 accommodates crown portion of cap over member 4, plurality of telescopic grippers 5 grip sweat band of cap for restricting movement of cap over platform 1, a motorized sliding unit 6 provides translation to a curved extendable plate 13 configured with sliding unit 6 to position plate 13 beneath visor of cap, a chamber 7 installed with an electronic nozzle 8 to spray a cleaning agent over cap, and a motorized brush 9 by means of a robotic link 10 scrub cap in view of cleaning cap."
