MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019732 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'automated barricading device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashok Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated barricading device includes a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface, a communication module paired with a microcontroller to establish a wireless connection in between microcontroller and a computing unit 3 accessed by a user to enter commands for moving housing 1 over surface, accordingly multiple motorized wheels 2 attached beneath housing 1 maneuvers housing 1 over surface, a sliding flap 4 attached at a side of housing 1 slides for creating an opening, a first and second plates 5, 6 installed within housing 1, attached with each other via a helical electromagnetic spring 7, second plate 6 falls over surface and simultaneously wheels 2 moves housing 1 up to a distance as per user's commands to create a barrier via spring 7, followed by energizing spring 7 to compress for exerting a force in between plates 5, 6."
