MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023478 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated bamboo salt preparation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bamboo salt preparation device comprises of a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface arranged with a platform having multiple slots for accommodating bamboo barrels, a touch enabled screen 2 to give input commands for preparing bamboo salt, a laser acuity sensor for detecting diameter of the barrels, a motorized iris lid 6 to close for gripping the barrels in the slots in a secured manner, an imaging unit 3 for detecting exact location of the barrels on the platform, an electronic valve 8 for transferring the salt from the chamber 9 to the barrels, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 7 for providing a suitable bi- directional motion to the chamber 9 to fill barrels, a pair of grippers 4 for gripping as well as positioning the barrels in a furnace 14, and multiple heating for heating the barrels to prepare the bamboo salt."
