MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026176 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated animal rescue device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated animal rescue device, comprising a curved platform 1 having a first and second portion, multiple wheels 2 are assembled beneath the first portion to provide support to the platform 1, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 is mounted on the second portion to determine presence of any living animal in the pool, ultrasonic sensor mapped over the platform 1 to monitor distance of the animal from the platform 1, motorized sliding unit arranged over the platform 1 to provide translation to an plate, a telescopic rod arranged in between the plate and sliding unit to extend to position the plate and a motorized hinge joint embedded on the plate via a pair of curved flaps assembled with the plate to deploy the flaps over the plate."
