MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025397 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated animal deterrence system for security.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated animal deterrence system for security, comprising a pair of frameworks 1 developed to be installed on main and back entrance of a premises, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to detect presence of an wild animal in a pre-fed range of the surroundings, plurality of HID (High-intensity discharge lamps) lamps 3 to produce a high intensity light in a targeted direction of the animal for startling the animal in view of preventing the animal to enter in the premises, plurality of speakers 4 to produce loud sound frequencies for deterring the animal in view of allowing the animal to move away from the premises and plurality of electronically controlled nozzles 5 to dispense water stored in a chamber 6 integrated with the nozzles 5."
