MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024714 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated aluminum sheet chromating device.'

Inventor(s) include Ajay Agrawal; and Arvind Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated aluminum sheet chromating device, comprising a housing 1 accessed by a user to insert an aluminum sheet, a motorized conveyor 2 installed within the housing 1 to receive the sheet, a display panel 3 installed over the housing 1 to enabling user's input commands, an imaging unit 4 installed within the housing 1 to determine dimensions of the sheet, an first, second and third container 5 arranged with the housing 1 stored with water, acid solution and chromating agent, a robotic arm 6 installed within the housing 1 configured with a wiper for wiping water, an air blower 7 installed within the housing 1 to dry the sheet, a robotic link 8 installed within the housing 1 to position the nozzle over the sheet and a pair of robotic grippers 9 installed within the housing 1 to turn the sheet upside down for chromating the sheet."
