MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125404 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'automated alms management device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. C Madan Kumar; Radhakrishnan P; Dr. Y Manju Sree; and N. Siddi Vinayaka.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated alms management device, comprises of a hollow cuboidal housing 101 developed to be positioned within a public donation receiving enclosure, an intake assembly for controlled acceptance of offering(s), a guided conveyor 105 and simulation roller 106 for transporting offerings, a detection module 107 to identify type of offering including banknotes, coins, envelopes, valuables or irregular items, a 2-axis servo-actuated sorting arm 108 comprising a vacuum micro-gripper 109 for delicate handling and precise placement of items into corresponding compartments 110, a storage unit 111 to receive items when confidence thresholds fall below preset parameters."
