MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019656 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'automated air conditioner hose crimping device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated air conditioner hose crimping device, comprising a housing 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, the housing 1 is arranged with a touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by user for providing input regarding details of hose crimping to be performed, a robotic arms 4 for accessing chamber 3 to grip a clamp, connector and hose pipe, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 to determine dimensions of gripped clamp, connector and hose pipe, a supporting structure 6 for accommodating assembled components on a protrusion 6A integrated on structure 6 for acquiring a grip over accommodated clamp, a hydraulically operated plunger 7 to extend for apply an appropriate pressure over connector to perform hose crimping and an incomplete tubular channel 8 connected with air compressor 9 to dispense pressurized air through channel 8 to detect any leakage in crimped hose."
