MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631031079 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College, Asansol, West Bengal, on March 15, for 'asynchronous generative artificial intelligence system for multimodal educational content transformation and knowledge extraction.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Santosh Prabhakar; Dr Abhishek Bandyopadhyay; Mr. Amit Kumar Jha; Dr. Bhaskar Roy; Mr. Amit Sinha; Pratyusha Mukherjee; Arnab Chatterjee; Debarjun Thakur; and Atanu Garai.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an asynchronous generative artificial intelligence system for the transformation of unstructured educational media into structured knowledge assets. The system employs a FastAPI-based backend integrated with a Celery and Redis task queue to facilitate non-blocking, distributed processing of audiovisual data. A Whisper-based neural engine performs high-fidelity speech transcription, which is subsequently analyzed by a Large Language Model utilizing structured XML prompting to generate concise summaries, key conceptual insights, and interactive pedagogical assessments. By automating the distillation of complex information into actionable study tools, the system significantly reduces cognitive load and enhances the efficiency of revision and knowledge retention for users in diverse academic and professional domains."
