MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003705 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'assistive suspension disengaging device.'

Inventor(s) include Kiranpreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive suspension disengaging device, comprising a telescopically operated frame 1 installed underneath chassis of vehicle, an ultrasonic sensor detecting width of chassis for actuating frame 1 to extend for securing frame 1 with chassis, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 determines positioning of a lower ball point of a suspension attached with wheel hub for actuating a robotic gripper 6 for gripping the joint, a motorized hinge joint 7 providing movement to pull lower ball point in downward direction, followed by actuation of a hydraulic piston 8 for pulling lower ball joint for disengaging the suspension, and an electronic nozzle 10 connected with chamber 9 for dispensing solution inside wheel hub to maintain condition of wheel hub."
