MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024848 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'assistive plastic straps installation device for grout joints.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive plastic straps installation device for grout joints comprises of a cylindrical-shaped hollow frame 101 with a handle for easy positioning over a tiled surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 that captures and processes surface images to generating a 3D map to detect the grout joint locations, a touch interactive display allows users to the select areas for grout filling, with a holographic projection unit providing the visual guidance, a motorized roller 105 uncoils a flexible the rubber strap 106, while robotic grippers align the strap 106 over the grout joints, a heating unit 107 ensures the strap 106 is heated to the optimal temperature for the proper adhesion, an extendable plate 108 with adjustable flaps contours of the strap 106 to grout joint edges, ensuring accurate filling and a battery is associated with the device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with the device."
