MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019384 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'assistive essentials securing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive essentials securing device comprises an elliptical shaped frame 1 having an opening 2 developed to be accessed by a user, a harness 3 configured with a pair of straps attached with the frame 1 for allowing the user to wear the harness 3 on hand portion, a laser measurement sensor mounted on the frame 1 for detecting dimensions of the hand portion, a motorized roller 5 installed on the harness 3 for coiling/ uncoiling the strap, plurality of V-shaped hooks 6 installed within the frame 1 for engaging essentials, a sliding unit 8 configured with a curve link integrated within the frame 1 for providing movement to the hook, a weight sensor embedded on each of the hooks 6 to detect weight, a speaker 9 mounted on the frame 1 for notifications, and a bar code 10 scanner is embedded on the frame 1 for scanning barcodes."
