MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025580 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'assistive device for supporting a ladder.'
Inventor(s) include Mamta Bansal; Kuldeep; Arun Saini; and Gargi Chaudhary.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for supporting a ladder, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a ground surface in proximity to a wall by means of plurality of suction units 2 arranged beneath housing, a touch interactive display panel 3 installed over the platform 1 to enable a user to input an inclination angle at which ladder is to be positioned, an imaging unit 4 determines location of wall, a motorized two axis lead screw arrangement 5 installed over platform 1 to provide translation to a plate configured with the arrangement 5 in proximity to wall, a pair of vertical flaps 6 are arranged over plate to position foot of the ladder in between flaps 6, a pair of clamps 7 installed over inner periphery of each of flaps 6 to grip foot of ladder and a motorized hinge joint 8 to orient ladder at user-specified angle."
