MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088504 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 23, 2023, for 'assistive device for making appetizers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Mukesh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for making appetizers, comprising a cuboidal body 1 attached with multiple suction cups 2 developed to be affixed over a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 mapped on body 1 for enabling user to input details regarding a total number of appetizer required by user along with a type of fruit/ vegetable user desires to prepare appetizer, a pair of robotic grippers 6 mapped on platform for aligning dispensed fruits/ vegetables in a suitable manner as required for cutting fruits/ vegetables, a lifting arrangement positioned in between platform and base portion for lifting platform in view of slicing fruits/ vegetables via blades 8 as specified by user, a robotic link mapped within body 1 for securing one of the skewer and further inserting skewer within sliced fruits/ vegetables as required by user."
