MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012519 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'assistive device for carving cavity.'
Inventor(s) include Manu Se.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for carving cavity, comprises of a pair of crosslinked elongated bodies 1 gripped by a user from a first portion, a pair of L-shaped members 4 to accommodate a metal profile, a microphone 5 accessed by the user to provide voice commands for carving a cavity, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 to determine presence of profile positioned between the members 4, a pneumatic link 7 configured with free end of each members 4 to extend towards each other for positioning a motorized disc 8 configured with link 7 around said profile for carving cavity into the metal profile via punching tools 9 arranged with the disc 8, an ultrasonic sensor to detect thickness of the profile and the punching tools 9 to exert appropriate pressure for carving the cavity."
