MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053826 A) filed by UPES, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on April 28, for 'asic-based real-time self-adaptive robotic control system integrating ai, iot sensor fusion, and hardware-accelerated learning.'
Inventor(s) include Sushabhan Choudhury; Keshav Sinha; Rajib Banerjee; and Dr. Ayush Kumar Agrawal.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an ASIC -based robotic control system (100) comprising: a multi-modal sensor interface (102) configured to receive one or more input parameters from a plurality of sensors (116) of the robotic systems; an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) (104) implemented directly into robotic systems, comprising: a sensor fusion unit (106) configured to generate a unified environmental representation from the received one or more input parameters, at least one robotic control processor (108) operatively coupled to multi-modal sensor interface (102) and sensor fusion unit (106), configured to: determine via a hardware-based reinforcement learning engine (110), one or more optimal control action, convert the one or more optimal control action into one or more actuator control signals, and control one or more operations of actuators (118) of robotic systems, based at least on the one or more actuator control signals received. A safety supervisory module (112) enforces predefined safety constraints."
