MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012486 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'artificial track laying device for heavy vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An artificial track laying device for heavy vehicles comprises of a cuboidal body 1 configured with omnidirectional wheels 2 developed to be maneuvered over a un-even surface, a hydraulic actuator 3 configured with a hook 4 to engage the hook with front portion of a vehicle, a motorized roller 5 that is installed on the body 1 and is wrapped with an metallic sheet 6 to layered over the surface, a pair of robotic grippers 7 installed on the body 1 for gripping end portion of the sheet 6 and positioning the sheet 6 underneath the body 1, sensing module including a weight sensor and a pressure sensor for detecting weight of the vehicle, along with a pressure that is applied by the vehicle over the sheet 6, and multiple air bags 8 for reducing pressure of the vehicle over the sheet 6 and allow smooth trespassing of the vehicle."
