According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is an artificial intelligence-based system and method for identifying and distinguishing authentic music from counterfeit, illegal, altered, or AI-generated copies. Multi-dimensional feature extraction, such as spectrogram fingerprints, harmonic and melodic structures, rhythmic patterns, timbre characteristics, and lyrical semantics, is used by the system to evaluate audio files. To verify content and categorize different types of infringement, machine learning algorithms compare extracted attributes with authenticated original music repositories. Verified music fingerprints and ownership metadata can be stored indefinitely with optional blockchain connection. The invention offers automated, scalable, and dependable music authentication, in contrast to manual copyright verification or simple audio matching methods. In order to promote intellectual property protection, copyright enforcement, and the integrity of digital music ecosystems across platforms, the system creates infringement risk scores, notifies stakeholders, and provides evidential reports."
