The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is a system and technique based on artificial intelligence for recognizing genuine product reviews and creating trust-based rankings on internet platforms. In order to differentiate real user feedback from phony, promotional, or bot-generated evaluations, the system compiles reviews from several e-commerce and digital marketplaces and uses sophisticated natural language processing, behavioral analysis, and credibility grading. Before adding to a composite trustworthiness score for products, each review is assessed for authenticity, relevance, sentiment depth, and contextual usefulness. The invention places more emphasis on verifiable experiences, feature-level sentiment, and temporal consistency than traditional rating-based ranking algorithms. The platform promotes ethical brands, protects customers from false information, increases transparency, and makes it possible for marketplaces and authorities to properly monitor and minimize review manipulation."
