MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521128603 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 18, 2025, for 'artificial intelligence based cctv behaviour analysis and automated event summarisation system.'
Inventor(s) include Prof. Rajeshwar Laxminarayan Bhalla; Atharva Kale; Kritika Nimje; and Ishwari Kakade.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a computer-implemented surveillance system (100) configured to process real-time CCTV video frames (201) through an input module (202), a computer-vision module (104), and an event summarization module (105) to generate structured event metadata (204) and corresponding alerts (206). The system employs detection (303), tracking (304), and temporal behaviour analysis (306) to identify activities including movement patterns, anomalies, and predefined behaviours. Metadata (307) is further transformed into natural-language summaries using an NLP module (308), and the results are delivered through an output module (309). The disclosed architecture improves surveillance efficiency, reduces manual monitoring load, and provides high-accuracy, low-latency automated event reporting compatible with existing CCTV infrastructure."
