MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134666 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'artificial intelligence (ai)-driven hydraulic hybrid drive system and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shalok Bharti; Kankanala Dhyan Darshak; and Pushpa Latha Gandepalli.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An artificial intelligence (AI)-driven hydraulic hybrid drive system and method, comprising a hydraulic reservoir 101 for storing and circulating fluid, a variable-displacement hydraulic pump 102 provides mechanical power for driving, multiple hydraulic motors or pistons 103 convert hydraulic pressure into mechanical energy to drive wheels, the flow and pressure of the hydraulic fluid to the motors or pistons 103 are dynamically regulated by a plurality of proportional control valves 104, a plurality of sensors 105 monitor hydraulic pressure, flow rate, temperature, and vehicle speed, providing real-time operational data, excess energy generated during braking or low-load conditions is stored in a high-pressure hydraulic accumulator 106, an AI-enabled electronic control unit (ECU) 107 utilizes historical driving patterns, real-time vehicle speed, and road conditions to predict driving demand, optimize hydraulic system operation, and coordinate energy distribution across the pump 102, motors, valves 104, and accumulator 106 for improved efficiency and performance."
