MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641024611 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on March 2, for 'artificial intelligence (ai)-based system for adaptive multilingual recipe generation and culinary access and method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Valarmathi B; Srinivasa Gupta N; Vedant Patel; Ladani Neel Amitbhai; and Kalp Rajeshkumar Patel.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure proposes an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system (100) and method for processing, translating, scaling, and retrieving structured culinary data across multiple natural languages using a hybrid offline-online processing mechanism, lightweight client-side execution, and intelligent contextual mapping techniques for enhanced accessibility, performance efficiency, and regional culinary relevance. The AI-based system (100) comprises a computing device (102) having a processor (104) and a memory (106) that is configured to store one or more instructions executable by the processor (104). The processor (104) is configured to perform controlled data storage, retrieval, translation management, and quantitative computation operations for culinary information presentation. The AI-based system (100) enables multilingual search and retrieval of culinary data by associating user input expressed in different natural languages with a common internal data identifier, thereby ensuring consistent, accurate and language-independent access to recipe information across all supported languages."
