MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065517 A) filed by Renault S. A. S., Boulogne Billancourt, France, on July 9, for 'arrangement of a display system in a dashboard of a motor vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Chapuis, Claude-Emman; and Dagoreau, Alain.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an arrangement (1) of a display system in a dashboard, which comprises a cavity (20), a translucent plate (3), and a recess (25) which is located in the lower wall (22) of the cavity. The recess includes an opening (250) which opens into the cavity and receives a source screen (40) which constitutes a light source directed towards the inside of the cavity and which is the display screen of an electronic mobile device (4) capable of being received in the recess (25). The translucent plate includes a first free transverse edge (301), which is secured at the top of the cavity and positioned towards the opening (24) of the cavity, and a second free transverse edge (302), the plate being rotatably movable about the first transverse edge (301) thereof between a retracted high position (31) and an extended position (32) inside the cavity at an adjustable angle of inclination (T) with respect to the position of the source screen in the recess."
