MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517040896 A) filed by Webasto Se, Stockdorf, Germany, on April 28, for 'arrangement for a vehicle roof having a movable roof cover and lighting, and associated production method.'
Inventor(s) include Steigthaler, Michael; Fischer, Maximilian; and Matok, Milan.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An arrangement (10) for a vehicle roof (1) comprises a cover (11) having a lighting arrangement, the cover being designed to form a movable roof element in the vehicle roof (1). The arrangement (10) also comprises a foam material (13) which is formed on the cover (11). The arrangement (10) also comprises a magnetic element (14) and a magnetic sensor (17) which are designed to cooperate with one another, wherein one of the magnetic element (14) and the magnetic sensor (17) is embedded in the foam material (13) of the cover (11). The other of the magnetic element (14) and the magnetic sensor (17) is intended to be arranged on a stationary roof element (2, 3, 4, 5) of the vehicle roof (1) such that a movement of the cover (11) relative to the stationary roof element (2, 3, 4, 5) is able to be detected by means of the magnetic sensor (17) and the lighting arrangement of the cover (11) is actuable depending on the detected movement."
