MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517060713 A) filed by Mikasa Seiyaku Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on June 25, for 'aqueous solid ointment.'

Inventor(s) include Takayama Miyuki; and Maruyama Yoshimichi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is an aqueous solid ointment including a fatty acid salt a lower alcohol a sucrose fatty acid ester water and an active ingredient. The present invention can provide an aqueous solid ointment which is transparent and has shape retainability and in which crystals including the fatty acid salt or in some cases crystals including the fatty acid salt and the active ingredient do not precipitate during storage at a low temperature even at a pH value of 6 9 as a result of selecting a combination including a certain fatty acid salt for the aqueous solid ointment and setting the proportion of the fatty acid salt to a certain value."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 26, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/002355.
