MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611022556 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Feb. 25, for 'aquatic audio headgear for submerged or semi submerged swimming activity.'
Inventor(s) include Priyanka Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An aquatic audio headgear for submerged or semi-submerged swimming activity, comprises a wearable cap 101 to be worn by a user, a pair of bone conduction transducer assemblies 102 positioned near zygomatic arches, each transducer mounted in a viscoelastic silicone suspended interface isolating mechanical pressure while maintaining vibrational coupling with cranial bones, a plurality of viscoelastic gel pads positioned between each transducer and the inner cap 101 surface, the gel pads comprising force sensitive resistor elements sensing contact force at the transducer skin interface, an inertial measurement unit 103 detecting head movement to trigger adjustment of audio gain or vibration intensity, a physiological and environmental sensor suite measuring heart rate, heart rate variability, and oxygenation, waterproof contact electrodes 105 and conductive water contact sensors 106 detecting submersion via conductivity and capacitive variation."
