The apparatus (100) comprises a control unit (106) operatively coupled to the motion sensing unit (104) and configured to process motion data and determine occurrence of a seismic disturbance. The apparatus (100) comprises a stabilization mechanism (108) operatively coupled to the support platform (102) and configured to position the support platform (102) in response to control signals generated by the control unit (106). The control unit (106) is configured to generate corrective control signals based on the detected motion to actuate the stabilization mechanism for maintaining stability of the load during seismic disturbances."
