MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517115084 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'apparatus and method for estimating soh.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for estimating an SOH, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a profile obtaining unit configured to obtain an OCV profile for a plurality of OCVs of a battery, the plurality of OCVs being measured at different time points; a profile correction unit configured to generate an adjusted positive electrode profile and an adjusted negative electrode profile by adjusting a preset reference positive electrode profile and a reference negative electrode profile to correspond to the OCV profile; and a control unit configured to extract, from the reference negative electrode profile and the adjusted negative electrode profile, a diagnosis factor related to a negative electrode change ratio for the battery, and estimate a negative electrode SOH of the battery on the basis of the extracted diagnosis factor."
