MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517111386 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 14, 2025, for 'apparatus and method for estimating soh.'
Inventor(s) include Park, Jun-Cheol; Kim, Young-Deok; and Kim, Ji-Yeon.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for estimating SOH, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a profile acquisition unit for acquiring an OCV profile about a plurality of OCVs of a battery measured at different points in time; a profile correction unit for generating an adjusted positive electrode profile and an adjusted negative electrode profile by adjusting a preset reference positive electrode profile and reference negative electrode profile so as to allow correspondence to the OCV profile; and a control unit for extracting a diagnosis factor for the battery from the adjusted positive electrode profile or the adjusted negative electrode profile, and estimating the capacity SOH of the battery on the basis of the extracted diagnosis factor."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012801.
